  1. Even if you bounce it off the rev limiter a couple of times it's okay... It's a common misconception that revving a car is bad for it. What's the deal with that?? The car is made to rev, rev it! You won't be seeing any decent power until 4000RPM so you'll find yourself up there freqently. I suggest you get a CAI and then you'll be revving it all the time just to hear the sweet noise.

As for the gearbox, that sounds about right. They're very notchy. If you think it's a problem ask the mechanic to change the gearbox oil. But the gearboxes are made to shift with two distinct clunks so it's foolproof

With the price of petrol these days you wouldn't want to rev it!

I've just recently realised how to keep the revs down, and its helping me save money.. :whistling::yahoo:

Oh, but then again, I don't get to listen to the 'soothing music'.. hehe

  2. Hey MAte,

It all depends i guess, quite a few people have powder coated their rims and it roughly cost's about $200-250. Some members have also sprayed their stockies but have had mixed results. They have suggested going for a neutral colour (i.e. black or white).

Im planning on spraying mine a gunmetal grey. I'll see how it turns out and if i fk it up i'll just get them powder coated.

If your planning on getting 18's be prepared for the regular scrubbing of the front guards. most people here just stick to 17's for more of a comfy ride.

    Cheers

    Mark

    Thanks for that!

hmmm gunmetal grey... should be interesting! Make sure to post some pics up.

So will the scrubbing still happen often even if the cars on 'lows' not 'super lows?' mmmm maybe 17's might be better...
