Just managed to change the plugs on a 95 Vienta, the back ones can be done without removing the plenum, but you need to fiddle around a bit, and you need the right tools, and a little luck. A few bare knuckles later and lots of swearing but they got done. My advice, for the sake of 60 bucks don't bother to do it yourself, I just wanted to see if it was possible.

Thanks for your help guys, the changeover was quite smooth and simple, hardest part was removing the carpet to reach the filter. If anyone needs advice in the future drop me a pm. Cheers

Jaze they're the best set you can get for our cars from what I've seen. Like Northy stated, they seem to actually 'flow' a lot better than the TRD ones.

the HPC makes a big diff, with my TRD one after some spirited driving it was hot, with the CES one you can blast around all day and it dosent even get warm

the extra cost for the HPC is well worth it, in saying that you could get any of the CAI's HPC'd so it might be an option

The velocity of the air being sucked up the CAI does not have enough time to "heat up" even if the CAI pipe is a bit warm, think about it? Its all about the positioning of the pod. By now, you would realise the metal tube CAI is for looks only, a rubber hose would have the same effect. As for you guys flogging off the CES, give it a rest, try a new place like the shopping channel on foxtel, where you can go on and on about HPC and every dumbass redneck will believe you and flock to the fone to call your 1800 CES CES.

I'm just after some phat intake noise or "rorty induction suck" as HPi magazine once put it...

I imagine taking that snorkel off would increase intake noise more than power... How do they sound boys??

I'm going to try 1ZZ-FE's idea of an upgraded panel filter with the snorkel removed, no inlet duct at first, but then I may experiment. What's the best type of material for this? So far I've seen that manupulatable plastic tubing, what looks like household-use central heating ducting and a hell of a lot of tape & zip ties.

Spot on dude, highly illegal tampering with these things and a waste of money, it still amazes me what some people contemplate to go to, in order to gain a few kilowatts, at the risk o a big fine and stuffing up an exhaust system.
