I filled my tank halfway with Shell Optimax on the weekend and the car feels really slugish and less powerful hi cam mode and it doesent rev as smooth as before either. Could it be a bad batch of fuel coz it hasent happened before? What fuel do you guys recommend?

Thats allrite man, you should be getting some nice sound out of it. Do you know how many decibels it puts out at idle? Now you need Cold Air :D .

I picked mine up for $24,980 driveaway, which included paint protection. Four month wait though.

Make sure you guys take pics of the cars and meet and post them so we can have a small interstate comp on who gets more people to come, so far we had about 5 or 6 on our second Melbourne meet. Cheers

Whiteline strut brace was $A 180, i bet Peekay paid less.

No you dont, it's a normal car man. If you rev past 3, you more than move around, and wen you get to 6000, you basically explode and all hell breaks loose. Thats why this car is soo practical in my opinion, it's got normal manners for everyday use and low fuel consumption, or it can make you feel like youre a racecar driver if you want to drive it hard. And let me tell you people get a big surprise :D . If you want heaps of pulling power down low, then get a boring typical v8 or turbo, but if you want explosive in your face F1 sounds and revs, get a 2zz-ge powered machine.

Since this is a new forum, i think owners of the corolla sportivo should post a reason to why someone new to the forum interested in the car should buy it.
My reason...............IT'S FAST!!!!!!! and it's only 1.8 N/A :o :o

:o :o What? i think i got it for retail, it's around 200 bucks, what did you pay for it?

Hey guys let me know as well, im interested, more for looks than performance, although a few extra ponies always helps. I also ordered my whiteline strut brace today from Repco, thanks Paul for the info, should be getting it before x-mas. As for the extractors, they cost way too much.

The stock is 2 inches however buying a cat back would be more for looks and sound. It's damn hard to find a full exhaust for the car because the exhaust system is soo complex from the original extraxtors, and you cant mess with it too much. The extractos are another hard item to find, if anyone does find one apart from the trd which is alot of money, please let me know. I wish more aussie shops were into tuning toyota's so they can make parts here, bloody hell, its always nissans. scoobys and hondas.

I have found cat back systems, but they are quite pricey, the apexi N1 is over a grand and the Blitz is around the same price.

Ive decided to keep my rims, i really cant be bothered forking out 1500 for a measly inch. I will get the TRD CAi and then a nice exhaust. Has anyone modified their exhaust?
What type of fuel do you guys use

Well i dunno guys but a bad batch like the optimax i had made the car vibrate alot, and the vibrations went all the way through the gearbox, as it become really notchy and i couldnt shift properly in high cam mode, i hope i never experience that againit was shocking. I filled up with Mobil and i have a new car again :D , revs smoother, gearbox is back to normal, the whole car feels great again. And power is back like it should be.
