u camed, balanced and port and polished a head on an excel....that is cool cos ur the 1st person ive ever heard doing that...i had an excel for my 1st car and it flew i dont no y...it woudl have taked my 1zz easy

the pros of drags are right^^ car sits for about 20 mins max and if u get there early u pretty much do a run come back and ur at the front of the line again. NEVER do a burnout on street tyres...waste of time! its proven that it doesnt warm streets up unless u skid it for about 5 mins...slicks on the other hand are to be warmed so drive round the watered spot on your dailies. my optinion drags is a car vs car challange....like my car is faster than yours...no skill involved really especially in an auto track on the other hand is probly 85% skill of the driver and what he is capable of/experiance/and balls, the ability of the car is needed eg. springs, braces...but its not a major...its purely driver skill with more of an advantage if your cars setup. you as a driver gets respeced ith your time not your car like at the drags EDIT: sorry i havnt done both i didnt read that

7 years....should be time to take it out again! i no tracking would be so much more fun but im a wimp when it comes to thrashing my car heaps especially for 20 min sessions straight...i will one day tho and yes ill get it surved to me by the stivo lol cost is 35 a car unlimted runs and bring a mate that wants to come cos anyone in your car is free if u race. so split it and ull pay $17.50 thats what i always do.........anyone not driving want to come with me hahah :P yeh u would beat me on these rims 7 kg heavier per wheel and tire than the stock ones

btw u know whats really sh|t about dragging newish cars....u up your car for the last 5 minutes of the drive to thre drags to get the ecu to realise u wanna go fast you get there and do your 1st run which is the best, u get back in the line and you have to start your car like 10 times to move it up the que and the ba$tard falls asleep again, i had an 10 times better start 2nd time round but still pulled so much worse cos of that i think.......pushin it this time <_<

Hey Rowan, i was out at the drags on Saturday night, there were quite a few cars lol im not sure if i should take my car down the quarter-mile... i'll go in someone else's car and just watch. Evo cmon evan i took my 1zz down when i had it, but uve got the aerodynamic advantige cos of those roof racks so u will probly pull a better time lol

Folks are going away in april so im looking to hit the drags again then so i dont get another ear full from my old man lol anyone keen? PS. Phil its u and me uve chalanged me too many times this will settle it for good :P

if u want a sub just put 6's in but if u dont chuck 6x9's in and get the spacers from your local audio shop

myztik is right 6's in the back would be fine i didnt know what was in there stock thats all...ummm no sub....if u have an aftermarket head deck i wouldnt bother amping id just get really good speakers if u have a stock head deck id amp get a small 2 channel for them

mate u drive a conquest....give it back to your grandma she needs to do her shopping... whitestivo is saying his stivo would beat a stock silva or GT skyline around a track or hilly run....and it would mate silvias and skylines are need wrk done to them to fill there sporty image and ive never seen an S2K pull a 13 stock mate no chance... just like ur sports spec conquest wont pull a 17 and 32 gts only pull 125 at the fly wheel mate not the wheels ur the onle one that needs to grow up fagg0t u got no idea...get off grand torismo and get ur facts right stop acting hard on this forum

Ok thanks, was just looking at them, what brand would you suggest? And.. would you amp the back if I put 6 by 9s in? buy some resonalbly decent (dont know your budget) 4 inches or 6 inches in the front and get 6x9's in the rear, with a middle of the line budget go for brands like kenwood, pioneer or even MTX. that sony sub goes hard i know someone with one in there car so id stick with that...decide weather u want a ported or sealed box then get a 4 channel amp 1000w+ peak and hook that up to yoour front and back speakers aswell

um... this is a silly question, but i still do not know the answer lol :P Evo hahahaha to both of u lol....no why should it be they wouldnt make them if they werent going to handle it....they make auto 2zz celicas and they rev to 8200rpm sweet cause usally i use the gated shifter only leave it in d when im lazy / being fuel effecient same.....seems so much faster in sports mode but u just watch ur fuel go down! 6 sp auto ftw tho constantly changing gears is fun

bloody oath! one of my mates brothers got a stock s15 and all my mates are like OMFG turbo s15 FAAAAARRK, rowan that will smoke yours..........yeh guys good one, that night it got smoked by by his own brotheres VS 6 manual....they got no idea...........but having said that u can easily make them into monsters!!! I like s14 and 15's never the less B) i have a bit of a problem with people who drive skylines 32 and 33's....they think they are the MADDEST when they drive them....even the guys running stock ones think they are the sh|t...but really 32's are dog slow stock and u can buy them for 5 and a half grand....i think they keep forgetting that...there nearly getting the commy vl driver bogan appeal to them. thats just how i see alot of them but there is some nice ones out there that i respect

why sony? they dont have the best wrap in car audio, have u brought them yet of thinking of getting them? i had sony in one of my cars and there pretty ordinary wouldnt even bother amping the inside speakers if u got those ones just a mono block for the sub
