  1. I live in Barbados and I own a Toyota Corolla Runx, ZZE123 chassis with the 2ZZ-GE engine, and I am seriously thinking of installing the following two(2) options of Tein suspension product: Product # : DSY60-U1SS2 Description: Height Adjustable Suspension Product # : DSY60-91SS3 Description: Height & Damper Adjustable Suspension I however have two(2) questions which I would like answered: 1) Has anyone installed any of these products on their Sportivo's and were they any modifications that needed to be done due to any installation issues or were they a straight fit? 2) I have been able to source product # DSY60-U1SS2, however I am having difficulty locating a place on the Internet where I can purchase product # DSY60-91SS3 from and have it delivered to Miami, where from there, getting it to my location is no problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  2. I was cleaning my 2001 Toyota Runx this morning and I had the LH and RH engine covers and fender guards removed and I noticed two(2) brown (or red) connectors on both the LHS and RHS of the front bumper close to where the front fog lights would be located (my car does not have fog lights although this plans to be my next project). I printed the fog light wiring diagram (from the workshop manual that Northy had posted some time back) and I am in the process of identifying all the major components in the front fog light system and so far here is what I have found: 1) 15A front fog light fuse located under the glove box 2) 2-pole connectors for attachment to the fog light What I need to know is this: 1) Where is the front fog light switch located? 2) Is there a front fog light dashboard light? Thanks in advance for your responses and any advice that may be offered.
  3. Thanks for the responses as they have cleared up a major misconception I had with regards to the installation. Most appreciated. :)
  4. I own a 2001 Toyota Runx which is extremely similar to the Toyota Sportivo. I am thinking of purchasing a TRD Rear Strut Brace and I would like to know if anyone has any detailed information regarding the installation of such, as I was browing the trdparts.jp website and they stated that you had to cut holes in the trim to install it. I would not like to have to do this therefore as stated earlier I would like to know from the people who have it installed already, if they can give me detailed instructions as to how to install it, especially removing the trim to get at the rear shock mounting. You can PM me with the instructions, if necessary. Thanks in advance.
  5. I own a 2001 Toyota Corolla Runx which is the Japanese equivalent of the Australian Toyota Sportivo and I have a "squeaking" noise which sounds like if it is coming from the front of the car. If I am in 1st gear and I just lightly accelerateand quickly take my foot off of the accelerator, that is when I hear it. I can hear it sometimes in other gears as well if I do the same thing. It only happens under these conditions and otherwise than that the car drives perfect. My only mondifications are as follows: 1) K & N Typhoon Short-Ram Intake System 2) TRD Front Strut Brace Did anyone else have similar problems or even have the same problem as I? Can anyone out there give me any possible ideas as to what might be causing this problem? Thanks in advance
  6. I believe that I may have fixed my own problem. The post that I was referring to can be seen below: http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.p...topic=25353&hl= Hope this helps for everyone else that has this problem as it worked for me in my situation.
  7. I own a Sportivo (2ZZGE engine) and everytime I push in the clutch I hear a squeaky noise. I think I read somewhere on this forum that you can use some lubricating oil and put it somewhere down past the boot that protects a part of the throw-out fork. Anyone's kind assistance would be greatly appreciated as I cannot seem to find this post no matter how many times I have searched this forum. Thanks.
  8. I have just purchased a TRD short shifter kit and I know that this might sound like a stupid question but here goes: Do I need to take the gearbox out of the car temporarily to install this kit or can this be installed with the gearbox in situ? The reason that I have asked is because my short shifter kit came with the instuctions in Japanese and I just need to know this before I start as I think that I can manage everything else on my own Thanks in advance

  10. I own a 2003 Sportivo 1800cc 6-speed manual gearbox and I was wondering if anyone here knows the step-by-step process for changing the gearbox oil as I want to do this job myself. Thanks
  11. I need to know if they are any performance mufflers that I can fit to the Sportivo or the RunX ( as I think the exhaust piping for both of these cars are the same ) and what are some of the names of the manufacturers for this type of product and where I can get them as I live in Barbados.
  12. I own a 2001 Sportivo. 1800 cc with the 6-speed gearbox and i was wondering if I could use 80W-90 oil in my gearbox rather than the 75W-90 and what effects if any would this have in the gearbox. Thanks
  13. Does anyone know where I can purchase/download a workshop manual for a Toyota Corolla Sportivo. I need one URGENTLY. THanks in advance.
