  1. Can anyone advise as to whether installing the lightweight pulley, as seen on the link below, can do any damage to the 2zz-Ge engines. I know there has been much debate but there never seemed to be a definitive conclusion about this issue. http://www.nengun.com/search/FE1347-ZT231/1 Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the responses. Is the OEM front swaybar 21mm? I'm just asking because I want to be certain that that is the correct size.
  3. Can anyone tell me if they are any polyurethane front stabilizer bar bushings for our ZZE123 Sportivo's. I checked Whiteline and they don't have any and I don't think Energy Suspension has any either so I'm hoping someone out there knows of a manufacturer that makes those bushings and any other bushings for our cars. Thanks
  4. I'll take a few pictures and post them up shortly Well according to the TRD website, they say it's 60.5mm which would make it 2-3/8" and the piping material is stainless steel.
  5. As promised, I installed the TRD muffler on my Runx over the weekend and I must say that I have noticed a MUCH smoother acceleration especially from standstill. Additionally, the noise level has not increased at all, although I can hear the muffler only when I initially start the car but during normal driving, I can't. In terms of the installation, it was pretty straightforward as it only took me 45 minutes. In terms of pricing, I would say I got it at a deal since our local dealer was having a TRD sale and I only paid US$300.00 :D
  6. I recently purchased the TRD muffler for my Runx and I have it to install this weekend. I'll let everyone know the diffences in drivng after the installation
  7. Just thought that I’d mention that I received my C-ONE shift cable bushes from Nengun ( http://www.nengun.com/c-one/shift-cable-bush ) on Friday and I installed them over the weekend and I must say that the shifting is much improved and it doesn’t feel as “notchy” as it did previously. Installation took me about 20 minutes.
  8. I've converted the webpage to pdf. Hope everyone finds this useful DIY___CLUTCH_PEDAL_FREE_PLAY_ADJUSTMENT.pdf
  9. You can purchase these shift cable bushings through Nengun from C-ONE as well. The part # is CG3382-ZT231.
  10. I was able to find an extremely useful link regarding this adjustment. http://www.9thgencorolla.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72948
  11. This is my set-up: It gives the car a refined yet OEM appearance.
  12. Just as an update to this thread, I decided to purchase the Defi DIN guage since I wanted to relocate the three guages that I had on my A-pillar. I had tried contacting Omori to buy a panel and three similar guages but they unfortunately went out of business so I had no other option but to go with Defi. I will take some before and after shots when I perform the installation this weekend and post those pictures on the forum. Thanks again to everyone who assisted, especially xoom.
  13. That said, can anyone tell me the average life expectancy, in km's, for these types of plugs being used in our 2ZZ-Ge engines?
  14. Is anyone here running any TRD iridium spark plugs, heat range IK-20 or IK-22, in their Sportivo's? If so, how often are they replaced. Thanks in advance.
  15. As promised, here are the pictures of my installation that I performed over the weekend. The second picture shows particular detail to the mounting bracket for the front brake line which I had asked about initially.
  16. Is there a particular wheel sequence for bleeding the brakes on a 2001 Sportivo, that is, should I start from the farthest wheel from the master cylinder and work my way up to the wheel nearest to the master cylinder or do I have to bleed according to the circuit, that is, rear left and front right, followed by rear right and front left. The reason that I’ve asked is that I’ve checked the service manual and it doesn’t specify. Can anyone advise. Thanks.
  17. Thanks for the response. I'll post pictures of my installation when I'm finished
  18. Can anyone “scan” their Sportivo maintenance schedule and post it up please? I have misplaced mine and I need that information so that I’d know what tasks have to be done at the service intervals, that is, 30000km service, 45000km service, et cetera. Thanks in advance
  19. I've gotten that issue sorted out, however, can anyone kindly post pictures of the C-ONE front brake line installation so that I can use it for comparative purposes. Thanks in advance.
  20. I really want to know the sping stiffness of the standard (OEM) springs that comes with the Sportivo.
  21. Can anyone tell me the spring rate for the OEM springs for the Sportivo. I know that the TEIN springs are 3kgf/mm and the CUSCO springs are 7kgf/mm for the front and 5kgf/mm for the rear. I would just like to know for comparitive purposes. Thanks!
  22. I’ve recently purchased the C-ONE sport brake line kit for my 2001 ZZE123 Sportivo and there were 2 brackets with rubber bushings fitted snug in them and according to the instructions, which unfortunately is in Japanese, it is suggesting that the 2 ends of the bracket have to be bent together, based on the pictures I'm seeing, so that it can be attached to the front suspension. Has anyone on this forum installed/have installed the C-ONE sport brake line kit and if so, can you kindly shed some light as to whether the 2 ends of the bracket for the front lines have to be bent for the install to be completed. My problem is only with the front lines as the rear lines seem to be a straightforward installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
