  1. Well Johnny, Probably lot of kluger end users would agree to some extent that previous model is more reliable as it was made in japan and while 2014 current model is made in US. Besides that the attitude comes with all the bonus and you are driving on basic model on newer model. If you wouldnt mind to drive previous shape, then go for 2012 model. Just beware about the clunking steering shaft noise on previous model and check with the seller/dealership to see if it has been fixed.
  2. I am wondering how much would it cost roughly for the 120k for 2012 Kluger? It would be great if anybody could list out all the service costs through all mileages...
  3. i guess it is not the matters of mileages of the car if this is caused by manufacturer's defect, then they should have obligation to fix it regardless of it. you should keep fighting for it.
  4. spoken to the technicians from toyota the yesterday when I had my car service and few of them just agreed that previous Kluger (pre-2014) which was made in Jap has far much superior quality of workmanship compare to US made. There are few glitches (they said not allow to say what exactly the problems were) has been found so far from the latest model and known to be hassles internally. Even the guys there do not recommend me to trade mine old model to the latest model.
  5. i finally got Pakenham Toyota to fix my steering shaft yesterday and it took only 1 and half hr to finish. I noticed the steering is a bit stiffer than before and felt more solid and the clunking has gone disappeared and the handling is feel more firm than before. The best thing was, it cost me $0 to get it fixed.
  6. my car is on 115000kms, i just bought this 2012 Kluger back in Sep 2015 and the dealership has supplied with additional 12 months or 10,000km warranty plus 3 months Statutory warranty. I wasnt expect the dealership would take so quickly and got a reply from Toyota Australia. So i guess every Kluger users should try to press harder to get their car done asap.
  7. After I have read this post and it made me realised that clunking noise is something abnormal. So I booked in the warranty check with Toyota Pakenham and the tech guy went in a drive with me and confirmed the noise from steering shaft. The service manager reckon it may not be part of the warranty claim at the beginning. Next day, he has rung me and advised me that it is all good and approved, cost me nothing to replace, good news without the need to harass them that I will contact ACCC. Therefore, anybody experienced the same issue, i strongly recommend you to contact your dealership and sort this out...maybe toyota australia might change and starts to roll out new policy to change all steeting shaft problem if any users raised their issues.
  8. Hi mates, I am new to this toyota club, just purchased a corolla ascent late 09 MY10 model. Love to be here. Cheers, Jimmy
