G'Day

Just picked up a bargain-priced pristine '93 Paseo after 3 years of owning an extremely overpriced Landrover @#$%box that ruined me financially.

Looking to do it up a bit, 2 first things:

- Would like a leather wheel but don't want to replace current wheel as it has an airbag in it (and I like the shape). Therefore seeking a trimmer in Brisbane that can convert it to leather (just the outside bit). Any ideas on companies and prices?

Also would like to install remote central locking - it already has central locking, but not remote. A mob in Brisbane quoted me $240 - which seems a bit steep to me - anyone had any experiences with this / advice?

Thanks.

Try Goodline Trimming for the steering wheel.

$240 sounds reasonable depending on the quality of the unit installed.

Thanks Silvabullet.

I'll try Goodline. I've since called Sci-Fleet Toyota and got a quote from them on the remote: $167 for the kit and $187 for install, so the $240 from the other mob is starting to sound pretty good.

does your car have an alarm? for an extra 100 or 2 you could probably get an alarm installed for that price that has central locking. Cause if you're thinking about one day getting a stereo or whatnot, having an alarm to start with is alot better then having your stuff getting stolen :)
