and the engine goes over 4000 revs and i change gear

it crunches into second

and when im stand still

and clutch right down

i pull it up a cm or inch

and car starts moving

i know it shouldnt happen this easy

does anybody have an idea of whats wrong?

I had a problem with my gear changes in my ST162 where the gears would be hard to get into gear and/or grind. This would usually be second gear.

To fix this, I changed the transmission fluid to something a bit more industrial (I'm sorry I've forgotten what it's called at the moment, but it has an additive which helps fix problems with Synchros), I also adjusted the clutch cable a little bit. I'm not sure if adjusting the cable helped in any way, but I adjusted it for personal prefference, to grip higher on the pedal stroke.

I would say maybe the clutch cable needs adjusting, so the clutch grabs higher up in the pedal movement.

Or, change the transmission fluid to something high-quality.

If you do anything, let me know how it works out.

EDIT: As for the body and paint, I can't really help you there, sorry, but I can say that expect to pay anything upwards of $3000 for a complete repaint. As for a set of Coilovers, $2000 should be budgeted again. Depending on the brand, that price will cover a "set" of either just fronts (2), rears(2), or all four.
