I had the misfortune to lose all my coolant on a short drive and didnt pick it until I had overheated the engine somewhat.

The head gasket blew and pumped all the remaining water out.

Lucky its the front head which I manged to get off and the following things have to be fixed.

Slight knock in one piston which will involve dropping the sump and pulling the front three out for inspection.

So some advice on how best to undertake this what to check, etc.

With the bore the water put some rust on one of the bores and youc an feel it so how to remove this from the bore.

Use original big ends just inspect and retighten??

Will the head need any attention? It looks fine no cracks.

How about straight? How do you measure it for any warp?
