I own a 2005 diesel engine hiace van with auto and the engine stalls while driving. I read in this Hiace owners club discussion board in Japan that Toyota dealers in Japan are replacing ECU and fuel pump parts for the problem. The current Hiace received a make-over in 2005 and early-production units (up to October 2006) are subject to this repair campaign. I brought my van to a local Australian dealer for the fix but they refuse to change the ECU and fuel pump under warranty because ECU is not showing the failure mode record they are looking for. Did anyone else in Australia have similar problem in his/her hiace van or with Toyota dealers? Thank you for comment/advice.

Hmm, i have heard of this also.

check out your fuel pump.

check all your electrics

try to verify all of the other problems you might find in a similair situation.

My mmate recently did a similair thing in his D4D Hilux, when you do regular water crossings, you might want to maintain your vehicle. (my mate is a tool to say the least)
