So I've been wanting to experiment with the ignition timing after having done a lot of reading. After hooking up my timing light I realised that I can see absolutely no trace of my timing mark on the crank pulley while it's moving at 450rpm. The solution is simple enough - turn the crank to TDC or thereabouts and put a dab of paint on the mark (just my luck, the mark always seems to point downwards when you shut the engine off!). However, I cannot figure for the life of me how to get any sort of socket through the tiny clearance between the pulley and the chassis to accomplish this. Any help appreciated! (1991 5sfe)
