I checked my automatic transmission oil yesterday using the dipstick. When I tried to place the dipstick back in the slot after cleaning the oil off it, it would not go back in. It gets about 90% down there and then stops, as if its hitting something. I have tried in different gears, started, off, hot and cold but still won't go in.

Does anyone have any idea of what I could do? Or has anyone experienced this before.

Cheers

Try rotating the dipstick to different positions, same happens with my Camry and Corolla..
