Help - Rattling/buzzing noise - 04 Sportivo

Hi

Does anyone know what could cause the problem below? I have seached the forum & thought it was either a clutch or gear selector cable problem common to the Sportivos but when i took it to Chatswood Toyota today they told me that they did not know what it was. They had the car on the hoist, took about 45 minutes all up to look at it - including 2 test drives.

The problem is a rattling/buzzing type of noise when the car is in rolling/decelerating in gear with foot off the clutch. If I accelerate again, the noise reduces. If I push the clutch in fully, the noise stops.

Also, when the car is stopped and in neutral, I get the same noise if I rev the engine to 3000-4000 rpm. This noise stops if I push the clutch pedal in fully.

I had a similar noise when deselrating (Letting the foot off the pedal) excuse the spelling.

They ended up replacing the whole clutch kit as it was the pressure plate making the noise.

Yes I have the same problem too.

It is starting to really ***** me off too.

I guess when I get some money I will replace the clutch and see if this makes a difference.

... the only other way I know of fixing it is... to turn your music up or have a CAI and Exhaust.
