Hi,

I have an 02 Tarago with the stock radio/cassette player. I currently use a tape adapter to play my ipod through the car stereo. This actually works quite well except for the noise of the tape mechanism. So I'm looking for a better way to connect my Ipod. FM transmitters don't seem to be the best solution.

After doing a bit of googling, I have found that on many systems with cd changer capability, it is possible to use that interface as an aux input. In fact, there are companies that make adapters just for this purpose. Problem is, most of these are US based, so I'm not sure if they will be compatible with my unit. There's an example

Here.

I found an Aus website, but they are rediculously expensive.

One guy in the US even managed to get it working by soldering wires to the right pins on an 07 Corrolla!

So, any idea whether the US adapters are compatible with ours, or if there is any way to rig this up myself. Is the pin configuration availble?

Any help appreciated.

Phil
