Hi guys,

new Corolla Ascent owner here. Just got my car for less than a month. Very new to modding anything really, but would love to learn.

I suppose a nice easy way to start off would be replacing the dash lights. Can anyone redirect me to a place I can find some blue LED dash lights and possibly some instructions on how to replace them?

I'm also thinking about replacing the cassette head unit with a aftermarket head unit. How hard is it to do it myself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FYI I'm in Perth.

Removing both parts are pretty easy...

Two phillips head screws hold in the instrument cluster cover at the top, so remove those, pull the cover out, then remove the four screws holding the cluster in and remove the cluster...

You can then pull the back cover off and replace the globe covers to blue ones... But keep in mind they probably won't be as bright being that colour...

To get the head unit out, pull the centre air vent panel out, and look up the top... You'll see two 10mm bolts... Undo and remove both and the head unit pod on the dash will lift off...
