bucket seats + airbags

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

You know how our seats have sensors that activate the seatbelt signal, for both driver and passenger.

Does this signal effect if the passenger or even driver's airbag deploys during an accident?

Lets say I get new seats for the front which do not have the weight sensor, and I leave it unplugged, the light will not come on, but will this mean if there was an accident, the airbags will not deploy?

Been reading about BMWs and how their sensors in the seats have been developing cracks and preventing the airbags from deploying because of the lack of a signal.

This might be more of a general question, but each make/model might be different, ie. accents do not have a passenger airbag

From memory anything Sparco or Recaro you would have no problems getting them engineered. My mate also got his Bride low max in his s15 engineered. Those shonky ebay ones you probably wont get them engineered.
