Altise '07 making hissing noise

Hi, I've got an '07 model Altise that I purchased in January and during the last three days it's started making a low hissing noise, kind of like air escaping from a tyre or the noise the air conditioner makes when it's on low. This only happens when I push the accelerator pedal. When the car is idling or moving along without acceleration there is no noise.

I checked the water, coolant and oil and they are all fine. The strange thing is I only had the car serviced four weeks ago.

I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some advice on what the problem might be. Thanks.

Yes, I had that problem too, and its not a problem, its the air induction sucking the air from the hose to your airbox, sounds pretty awesome, I like it.

So in other words, its normal.

As akuma said, it's normal on the 2AZ Engine. My mom's '05 Camry does it, and always has.

was thinking the same thing! that sounds odd for an 07 model but could be normal..

Ironically, my friend with an '03 SE 2AZ-FE called me today and asked me the same question, lol. He got a good laugh when I told him someone else asked the same thing today.

i had an 03 sportivo with the 2az-fe and never even noticed it. and then i got the 05 sportivo with the 1mz-fe and it's really noticable with this engine
