Hi all,

I've been searching everywhere but no details available on how to remove the standard cd/radio from a 2006/7 tarago.

Cant find anything at all even with previa/estima etc from Japan UK or USA

Must be someone who knows and can let the secret out

Any advice on how to do this would be great.

Maybe I"ll work it out in the meantime and be the first to post it up!?

Cheers

Steve

i think its like most stereo surrounds just grab hold of it a give it a yank usaly they got compressin clips behind them then it should be a matter of four bolts holding the unit in

Well... Stopped into a place today, "we haven't done one of the newer ones yet, leave it with us" (for a fee)

Didn't happen as I didn't wanna pay for them just to "have a look"

The weekends here now so this may be my chance to attempt to pull it apart.

Righto!! Had a good look today.

It does just pull off, in two pieces, I was'nt able to get behind it with fingers so carefully prised it out a bit so I could get the fingernails in and out it came!

First the surround with the hazard light switch and odo buttons comes off, then the radio surround.

Four screws hold it in as mentioned in an earlier post ;)

Now to just work out what wires go to where.

Also discovering that aftermarket touchscreen dvd player isnt really a nice fit <_< so a few mods might have to be done there.

Cheers
