Toyota Camry 95 Alarm Upgrade kit

Hi Guys,

I've asked around and i believe to upgrade my Toyota Camry Vienta Ultima 95 model Alarm to be connected with indicators and the horn, I have been told i would need a Toyota Camry Alarm Upgrade Kit? Is this correct? If so, where would you find this? Websites? and approximatley how much would it cost..

i think that if youre going to be upgrading your factory alarm system, you'd be better off spending it on an aftermarket system which would be just as effective, but without the toyota price tag.

for flashing lights and a horn chirp, a few hundred doesnt seem worth it if you can get vibration sensors, etc. with a decent aftermarket kit...just my opinion

Yes. indeed, however wouldn't i need to get my ignition switch changed to fit the key for an aftermarket system, considering it has central locking hooked up to it?

I think it should be fine.

We installed an aftermarket alarm/Imobiliser on an 31 Skyline and it still works with the factory key so it "should work" :P

aftermarket systems simply work off the existing system with transponder chips, sensors, etc. they would just add on to whats already there, not change it completely
