Been sitting on my coupe staring into the sky hoping that someone would come along and help me source the drop rm for my crown,as it is toooo dangerous to drive with the one I have on it...Trouble is,I have only had the car 6 months, and cannot get any advice as to whether a different model of toyota would be O.K to cross this part over with... I dont have a parts number from any literature that I have found so far, and no-one in UK is breaking my model crown... It just sits there miserably and now I have to move it from its resting place so it has become urgent that I locate this part,or just somebody to help with some friendly, truthful advice...Im a novice with this crown and so am calling out....

gday man, wot exactly do you mean by drop arm - are you referring to the arm that travels from the splines on the steering box to the steering linkage arrangement (pitman arm in this part of the world) or some type of suspension component? If the former I had to get mine from Queensland (I live near Melbourne) to suit a 1973 ms65. Try hooking up to some freaks in Thailand cause every man and his dog has had one there at some stage of their lives.

g'day again . An interesting development for my crown in which you may be interested. REquired a new tie rod end, was proving impossible to locate - until by chance I was doing a job at a place for a bloke who owns a toyota dealership in Launceston (tasmania) - he phoned his parts division bloke who told me toyota still make em - but it would be comin direct from Nagoya. It was pricey ($230 aud approx, freight included), but it was a massive round trip. So there ya go - if you're still havin problems try all known dealerships - if your really keen , look up Bruce Stevenson Toyota in Launceston (I think they're on Hobart Rd), give em a call and ask for James in parts. Good luck n keep on crownin
