Hi all,

I owned a 2004 Toyota Echo and I would like to change my stock head unit but unsure how/where to start.

Does anyone has done/knows how to remove the head unit?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

look for screws i think there might be 1 in the centre down the bottom of the console if no screws pull out the ashtray and pull you should be able to see 2-4 10mm bolts around the head unit undo them and it should come out dont throw away the braket as you can use it for other units (to remove the braket of the old unit there should be 4-6 8mm/philips head bolts

1. Remove heater/aircon buttons

2. remove screws behind knobs you removed

3. pull away part of dash

4. pull on surround around stereo (it comes straight off)

5. remove the four screw holding the stereo in via brackets

6. there ya go,

cheers
