So I was bored and surfing on the trading post, then I came across this ad...

http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Automotive/U...ber=TP002117826

2007 Camry Sportivo with 9,300km on the clock.. selling for $6,000.

I wrote him/her an email asking if it was a typo...

Within 10 minutes I received a reply..

.....The price is $6000. The car looks and runs great. I am selling the car so cheap because I am in United Kingdom with my job and I am going through a divorce. I am a VerifiedTrader so the transaction will be done through TradingPost. If you're ready for this purchase, I need to know your full name and address, as soon as I have them I will start the official procedure, and TradingPost will notify you about this. TradingPost will send you an Invoice with all the info you will need to complete the transaction. Also a 10 days refund policy will be included so if you will not like the car you will receive your money back. Thanks Diana

So I wrote back asking her...

...As far as I know Trading post does not offer this escrow service. Please give me the contact person's name and number, I will arrange for an inspection.

Can't be bothered to wait around for her response.. but was just wondering how she is proposing to extract money from me...? I am guessing to have someone pretend they are from trading post to send me an email or perhaps call me then ask me to pay for the car.. and if I don't like it they will return me my money?

I hope no one here falls for it...

Does Trading Post have a report ad function like on ebay?

If the car is actually here ask for an inspection, if they can't provide that how can they provide the keys ;)

Also ask for the licence plate if you're really interested and run a REVS check on it.
