Coilovers/Other height adjustable suspension

How long have you had them for? Noisy? Bumpy?

Hey bro supp... ive got king springs in my ZRE n it dropped 30mm all round.. i can reset my rears but i dont wana coz it mite bottom out..

I was talkin to a bloke at wholesale suspension n he said they could make coilovers for 1650 n a sway bar for 350..

I wouldnt recommend lowering ur car flush wit the guards becoz my mate reset all his stock springs n it sits flush wit the guards n it scrapes over speed humps n it sum times get stuck...

But i must say it looks very HOTT!! By the way his side skirts r scratched... But i love driving it coz u get alot of looks!!

In my opinion, i think having coilovers (adjustable) or not is for the more advance guys who really wanna tweak and play with their settings. And it depends on what the application is for: If for just daily cruising, than simple springs should be suffice. If for a much more sturdy ride that hugs the road than coilovers/swaybars is for you. It also comes down to cost, the price difference is really big.

What do you guys think? Is it worth getting coilovers?

Not for the purposes you have stated. You're better off getting a good spring and shock combo.

Not cheap, around $2K installed but will be insane!

getting coilovers is a good idea but finding some for the ZRE thats freaking hard... ive check nengun as i said b4 most of them only deliver within in japan only...

With Nengun, the seller would send the item to the Nengun warehouse, then they would ship the item out to the buyer. :)

With coilovers for the ZRE can you explain to me about the rear,understand the front but how does the rear have coilovers if standard, the spring is independent of the shock? Do they put 2 then a spring/shock setup for the rear?

Apologies if its a dumb question but if i dont ask i wont know

Very simple, the Spring for the rear will be dependant on its own like the factory one and the adjustable shocks will also be dependant on its own as well. The springs and adjustable shocks for the rear that will come with the coilovers kit will use the factory setup as this is called a Coilover Ram type setup for the rear. The fronts will be normal setup, springs coiled over the adjustable shocks.

I was thinking about that a while ago as well. How does the rears go on and do we remove the plate that holds the springs in the rear but we can leave it and reuse it

JDM Yard quoted me about the same time to ship a set of Tanabe Sustec coilovers(plus $1500).

Ok you have the Japanese Toyota Auris ZRE152H and there is the Aus Toyota Accent ZRE152R

Would these Tein DSC96-61AS3 suitable for Auris ZRE152H fit on the Accent ZRE152R?

Re Pedders.

Im currently running the new pedders coil overs on my '98 318iS Euro. They are great, with more dampener adjust-ability than most Jap types. If i go down the coil over road again, ill probably settle for the pedders without a doubt. Great service, reasonable price. I paid AU$1600 for the set, and $300 for installation and alignment. So for a shade under 2k, they are great value i think. Great to see they are releasing a setup for ZRE154's soon :)
