35w vs 50/55w HID BALLAST

Recommended Posts

You do have projectors don't you? Dont put them in if you dont as you wont "glare" all the other drivers, you'll completely blind them... And its the initial current draw that is HUGE on hid's. My 35w hid kit blew both the stock fuses when turning them on for the first time. I'd hate to see what happens with 55w kits.

Go with 35w they are more than adequate and dnt ***** too many people off....... my mate had 55w in his lancer and it melted the reflector bit that sits in front of the globe...... so 35w is best bet

Is anyone using the 50/55w hid ballast instead of the 35w?

Will it burn my wires?

check this stock hid diagram for all toyota models http://www.vvme.com/page.html?chapter=5&id=72 . none of them have stock 55w hids..

43k 35w hids are bright enough and very sharp for you to drive on dark road for long time.... if you go for 55w hid, you need to be concered of the issue of melting

your reflector housings even though they are brighter than 35w ....
