fuel filter change

hey all,

doing a minor service and needing some advice with filters. especially for the fuel filter. Service manual says to change every 30,000 miles or 24months, how can you tell if the fuel system requires a new one? car doesnt seem to have any fuel issues and gets decent miles from a full tank.

was also told with previous car that you can just blow on the out end of the filter to clean it out, can that clean out the filter sufficiently?

And with air filters (panel) which brands are more recommended? does all the cheap ones do the same job?

better off just replacing it IMO... its located down near the carbon canister.

as for the panel filter, f*ck that off and get a pod :P

Pretty much stick to the guidelines with your filter changes, they know best :)

And for Panel Filters, grab yourself a K&N Panel Filter...

hey guys, yea its an unscheduled service (registered the car this year and not sure when the previous owner had replaced these parts) and the air filter looks like its needs replacing so i thought i might just go and do the fuel filter aswell and wanted some opinions as to wheather i should fit a new fuel filter along the way.

Might get the fuel filter done after i run a few cleaning addititives throught the fuel system (bought some cheap products at the autobahn birthday special sale, LOL).
