Camry 2008 alarm system

Dear All,

i have Camry 2008 but it does not have alarm system, but a good thief broke the window and he cleaned my car :-(

i check with toyota saudi arabia if they have alarm system but unfortunately they don't. they told me also there is no alarm system for this model. i checked the local market and i found camry 2006 alarm system, do i have to go for it.

please help

Why do u want to get a 06 alarm system for? Why not jus invest in an aftermarket alarm system?

Yeah mate. Just go for an aftermarket alarm system. You can pick up a range of different alarms to suit your needs and budget. No need to get a specific Toyota branded one when it isn't really any different.

i am afraid because i dont know how to fix the alarm system in my car also i dont want to damage the circuits inside!!!!

I'm not sure about what is available around your area. Usually around here in Australia we can go to a place that specialises in auto-electronics like stereos and they usually carry alarms as well. For those that aren't as knowledgeable on the subject, they can install them as well.

It all depends on what you have available to you locally. Otherwise you can purchase an alarm online (such as a Viper Alarm) and then get someone to fit it for you who knows what they are doing.

At the end of the day mate - you pay for what you get. An immobiliser with window sensors and the rest will be your best bet. I have used Mongoose before - they're just as good as Viper, if not better in my opinion. Much easier to use. I had an M60 or something like that? Yeah, great stuff.

Most car retail shops sell these... normally they can do the install as well. We have places here like WOW Sigt & Sound, JB HiFi etc etc that can sell you these and install them as well with warranty.. there's gotta be something like that over there mate. Best thing of all is that we get a cheaper Premium with our insurance if we have a deterrent of this kind

You'd be looking around 500-600 installed for a nice unit that'll stop lil ****s from breaking into your car :P
