grinding noise nsf wheel

Recommended Posts

hey guys.. im not sure if im posting in the rite area..

mods please advise if it is.

yesterday when i was driving, everytime i hit the brakes u can hear a massive grinding noise.. like metal to metal. eg brakes completely shot. but the thing is my brakes are not shot and they have plenty of life left in them.

ive also noticed a massive brake shudder everytime that noise is there. there are times when it sounds fine and no grinding nor shudder but its really irritating.

if i dont rely on the brakes and upshift when i wanna slow down and use the brakes lightly then the noise is not there.

one of my mates suggested my rotor mite be warped.. but i was thinking maybe wheel bearing??

guys can someone help and shed some light on this?

thanks heaps in advance.

kevin.
