  1. 2zz Corolla - I have done it and for my car it did not make a noticeable difference. That being said I had already lowered my car, front strut brace and fatter rubber which already made it handle 500 times better than stock, so for me no noticeable difference. Also I do not track my car and 'push it to the limit' of under/over steering so cannot comment in that regard. Point I am trying to make is if your car is stock could be something to consider, if your suspension has been modified, maybe consider spending the extra money. At the end of the day it only cost me $20 from a wrecker, thats a smirnoff double black at a night club in surfers :P
  2. Prozak- this is great news! So the GATES Part # 38018 is the correct part? (Just to double check). How was rockauto.com to deal with?
  3. I just thought I would come over and tell you your legs are stunning. The only problem is they are not wrapped around my neck.
  4. SD - would you by any chance have the link or know where to find it?

    Evo's 1zz

Basically, on Par with a Sportivo with just a TRD CAI. 1st gear, no problems, second gear, just as the stivo hits lift (revved to 8000rpms), starts to pull away... Third, im gone :P (considering mine isn't tuned up properly) that's pretty good :P Very happy with the SC :D Thats my story... lets see what jstcln says Evo Well heres what I think... The sportivo cannot keep up off the line with normal take off - would need to be launched to keep up from stationery start. However, once the 2zz hits lift in first it is already gaining and with a good change to 2nd and landing lift you would be pulling away. By 3rd gear I would expect a sportivo would be a fair distance in front (hard to tell :P ). I would say the 1zz at the moment (prior to tune) would be just taking auto r32's? Or there abouts. Just my thoughts...
  6. which sportivo model are you after and what is you budget?
  7. if you cannot locate or get in contact with your previous employers, your other option is to fill out a statutory declaration form. See the below link for the form. Read it - it is pretty self explanatory. http://www.ato.gov.au/content/downloads/ind22733n4135.pdf

if you get those wheels (plus taking into consideration the increase in power) you will need to fill those wheels out with some decent sized brakes.

  10. Spotted evo 7 cruising on sunday. Stopped and said hi before we were mobed by intoxicated schoolies telling Evan his car sounds like a remote control car :P . BTW the new grill looks the goods!
  11. black surround mod gone wrong? edit: just read your new thread.
  12. anywhere in australia the police cannot prosecute you with anything unless there is conclusive evidence against you. it will not hold up in the court. it reminds me of the movie, the castle where the incompetant solicitor says its just the vibe that you get from the constitution - no evidence no case.
  13. bump. Am going to visit some wreckers tomorrow. Has anybody purchased a pair recently? How much did you pay?
  14. LOL that looks tuff, its crap that you lose 2 spokes in the 4 stud version though :( whose is it? mine. I got those rims for free.. So happy :P as far as I know the 8 spoke model are the ones under 17" for 4x100. Man, there awesome hahaha! did you have to mod the gaurds to get them fitted though? or did they fit with the normal sized fenders? You may need to roll your guards if you do get them in 17x7.5" tho.. I have 17x7.5 +40 or 45 and no scrubbing issues on low/ super low combination
