Where in Perth???

Recommended Posts

hey guys,

i'm going to change the stock suspension of the ol' stivo a bit and am looking at either eibach or king springs.

just wondering if anyone knows where i can go to get a good deal on the springs in perth (cos majority are from eastern side...)? and how much roughly would they set me back.

cheers.

roughly 300 for kings at repco, which is prolly the best place for them in perth... the ones i got quoted for my acsent were bout 250, but apparently they'll need different springs to the sportivo

I go to WA suspensions for all my suspension work. Costs a fortune but the car ALWAYS drives so *** damn well after they have done their work on it. I prefer quality over cheapness.

Technik do great things in regards to custom work. They source TRD goods from America so it's not really a surprise that they would be charging an average price.

I bought my cold air intake for $450 as a rough guide. I used trdsales.com for my TRD purchases.

X-Speed have a mixed reputation. I would take my WRX to them to do some turbine work and engine mods... but to be honest I wouldn't even park my corolla in their drive way. They produce their best work on turbocharged or supercharged cars.

Cypher would be the place to take a sportivo or a normal corolla. They specialise in Toyotas and have put out a few absolutly stunning sportivos as of late. Seen 2 so far just driving around and im sure there is a 3rd one.

So in general:

1. WA suspensions are great but pricey... you pay for what you get.

2. Technik can source TRD products for a fair price.

3. X-Speed are good.. but I wouldn't think of taking my rolla there.

4. Cypher are specialists in Toyotas... need I say more?

Go to cypher and talk to them when it comes to the CAI and unichip. You won't be dissapointed... they have already worked on sportivos in the past so they know what they are doing.

For suspension.. if you want the best setup and feel of your car go to WA suspension on the corner of canning highway and stirling highway in east freo. There is another well known suspension place whose name escapes me as of right now.

just got back from melville toyota. I was quoted 340 bux to buy a set of sportivo springs for a 04 corolla ascent, which I am fine with. cost of fitting was a different story. The service manager wanted 400 to have them fitted.:blink:

surely it does not cost that much to get springs fitted. At that price I might as well borrow as set of spring clamps, get a slab of beer and do it me self over a weekend with the help of mates <_<
