i dont know what types of bulbs i have for the park-or brake lights....

Today I found out. The parker globe is 5w and looks like this:

143300.jpg

The brake globe is 16w and looks like this:

Wedge-Bulbs-W16W-T15-.jpg

Now just have to find the same globes with each others' wattages...

I believe that there is huge amount of 5w bulbs with "glass" base like in the

second pic. But not sure how easy it will be to find 16w bulbs with metallic base.

Does anyone know if it's okay to put for example 20w bulb instead of 16w? Will the

smaller or higher wattage have any effect besides brighter/darker light?

Best regards, Alex

Just thought i would update this thread.

I decided to install the 8w T10's in my swapped parkers as i mentioned previously in this thread. One of them has recently popped. Im not sure if its was a dud bulb, or the 8 watters arnt meant to be run all day (i use my parkers all day) as they were taken from the map lights in the forward dome. When i removed the popped bulb, there was minor scorch marks on the bulb holder. I assume this may have been from the hotter running 8w, but the 8w that was still ok showed no sign of scorch on the holder. Swapped back to 5w for now. Might go for some SMD t10's down the line..

Just thought i would mention this in case others followed my suit with the 8w T10's.
