HI, does anyone have any idea on how difficult it is to remove the dash in 2004 corolla?

the air filters (the turny bits to direct the air - yeh im a girl!) are REALLY hard to pop out to clean behind.

I could get them out easy in my older corolla but cant in this one.

the previous owner didnt keep it clean, drove around worksites in dirt etc. it looks like the

red stuff from the dust stroms and its pretty caked on. shining a torch in the vents dirt goes all the way through.

ive already hit it with air gun, that got rid of the looser stuff, but i cant drive it without a window down as i breathe the dirt

sorry if this is long, but i really have to get it cleaned out.

is there heaps of fiddly clips etc when u take dash out, and is it even possible?? (i have a mechanic mate to help)

any advice would be helpful :)

They should just clip off there isn't anything holding them on that you need to unscrew.

Have a look here. This thread should explain it for you.

thanks but i said i already put a new cabin filter and air filter in.

i took dash out, and all air ducts, cleaned them (there was MUD in parts) and put it all back together.

now that i can breathe in my car without dirt flying around, my cd player has stopped working. only radio works.
