05 Sportivo starting problem

Hey guys,

Just after some advice as to whats up with my car, i have only had it for a week, its got 53,000k's on the clock and i seem to be

having a little trouble with it when it starts up. Problem seems to happen after the car has been sitting still with the engine off for an hour or so.

So this is an example of what happend yesterday...

pull out of my driveway slowly in 1st, as i take off down my street (still in first) the car seems to not want to rev over 2k (even with my foot to the floor)

I change into 2nd and still it dont want to go any higher than 2k rpm...i pulled over let the car sit for a couple mins, reved the engine and it did seem to stuggle a tad then i took off again and same thing happened in 1st (footdown going nowhere) then BAMN!! im taking off like normal...

So far this has happened maybe 3 or 4 times but its only ever done this within maybe 5mins of starting the car. once its up and running there is no problem.

The only things that can come to my mind is its just a bitch of a car to drive when not warmed up OR something to do with fuel injectors playing up on me.

so anyone got any ideas or have had the same problem? i got it booked in to visit my mechanic tomorow but just curious as to what it may be.

Are you using a stick air box or pod filter? clean it out to see if there are any blockages as it sounds like an air starvage issue to me. happens after i wash my pod filter from time to time.

yeah its just a stock filter, i might give it alook before i drop it off.

You should check all your vacuum hoses aswell while you are at it.

mine does this to but only with aircon on.

come to think of it, my aircon was on when i started it up.

i'm just hoping that its not a major issue, from what you guys have said it seems not to bad.
