I don't know, its just hypothetically speaking guys so don't get funny ideas and start thinking "What the hell is he thinking?" but as being a former owner of a Honda, I was a big fan of ITB's (Individual Throttle Bodies) and I have seen this done on some Celica's but I'm just wondering whether you'd get much of a gain from taking this direction, I'm pretty sure that you'd probably have to work the internals like nuts before getting ITB's to actually seen any gains, but I'm not a great fan of forced induction, plus no offence but I don't really want to seem like a lemming and just go ahead and do what someone else has done, so I'm just on what your say might be, pros and cons and any experiences or examples.

Just curious

Almost no gains. Better throttle response, not worth it. Take your money and spend it on one of Boosted's new manifolds, much better gains.

And you need to use an ECU that can handle ITBs

As Mole said, Boosted's intake manifold is the direction you're after.

Yeah, I might do a bit more research as well before I decide

but yeah, I don't want to get too ridiculous about it, either way though I know I'm in for an expensive bite

Yeah, thats true as well

pretty much just curious about it as I've seen it done to so many b series engines on teg's, EG's and EK etc.

I'm actually glad I'm no longer a honda owner, too many douche bags on their forums

Lucky for me, ITBs come standard ;)

ITBs is the ultimate step for NA tuning (Well it can be applied for force induction but lets not go there ;)) you pretty much do it last, its costly, if you're actually looking for power gains, you're looking in the wrong place (NA gains power/torque either via cams or via displacement if all else is kept equal). Do everything else to the engine forged internals, (forged internals if you're planning on revving out to stratospheric heights) machine work (port n polish, combustion chamber adjustment, blueprint, balance, etc etc) and decide on where you want your powerband to be which will dictate what cams are needed and if your valvetrain needs to be strengthened. Also if you're fuel system is reaching its limits then may have to look within the family (Supra, Chaser, Celica GT-Four) for bigger injectors and fuel pump. Then as mentioned an ECU that can handle it, most likely a standalone needs to be used.

Its just a general plan above cause I'm not too familiar with the exact specs of the 2ZZ and the auxiliary components around it.

Awesome advice, I might look into it but well see what happens, I've got a long way till I start looking at what to do with the engine, main reason why I want to do it is coz I dont want to be a lemming, I like being different

Even if you build everything up beforehand, no one has gotten any good gains off ITB's on a 2ZZ... except in very rare cases when the engine is mounted longitudinally and converted to RWD(!) in older cars. Really wish I could find the article with this in it.

Theres just not enough space for sufficiently long enough ITBs under the hood...

Dw, I know what you mean :)

Though having a look at the engine bay and the 2ZZ's placement... Doesn't exactly inspire confidence does it...
