Has anyone heard or used Martini engine oil ? My usual workshop recommend this brand but I think it's just too unheard of ?

Regards.

Never heard of it.

By all means ask for MSDS and any tech data, including testing available. GENERALLY if a workshop uses an oil, its because of cost. However some actually do choose oils based on its performance characteristics, although the latter is rare.

Would look through the websites for info but my internet is way slow...

Probably trying to leech off the famous Martini racing brand from the 70s and 80s, which was actually just sponsorship by the Martini & Rossi distillery that made vermouth.

EDIT: Although in saying that, Martini race fuel is well known and respected, not sure if it's the same mob as the oil or not though.

Well my mate has absolute trust in that workshop so the Martini stuff has went into my Yaris.

So far i feel no difference in performance but i'll be on the look out for any sign of trouble.

A Martini is a mixed drink. So is the oil also a mix of different oils?
