Hey guys,

picked up a 2003 corolla sportivo recently, ive noticed though its only just started happening when i slow down only sometimes i can hear a sort of tin can rattling noise, any ideas what this could be?

It will be your idler pulley which is part of the Accessory Belt Tensioner. AT low rpm it will make a rattle sound. its no big deal. there is no need to fix it unless it annoys you. if you want to replace it you can get the pulley for about $30 from bursons/repco etc
