Projector Headlights HID Xenon

I just noticed that one of the China suppliers has produced an after market HID Xenon projector headlight for the Highlander/Kluger which replaces the whole headlight unit.

Maybe this sort of after market HID Xenon light would be legal, because it is not just a bulb replacement?

I also wonder how long before we see a supplier make them available in Australia?

HID lighting starts to get a bit complicated with the legal side of things. Installing HID high-beam is generally OK, but HID low beam is another thing altogether - any sort of aftermarket HID low-beam lighting would be illegal, unless it also has some sort of headlight washer and auto-levelling mechanism fitted as well (as per ADR rules) This includes HID bulb replacement or complete HID lights like these China ones :(

This is the problem - everytime I turn off the HID spots it seems like I have two yellow candles or oil lamps for headlights - I'm addicted to bright white light B)
