radio memory loss - prado & echo

g'day all,

I have a 98 prado, for the last couple of months its been losing all radio presets and asking for the sec code nearly every time its started.

have been trying to get around to getting the circuit tester out assuming a bad connection with the memory power supply wire.

I also have a company 99 echo which has done the same thing twice now in the last month leading me to the conclusion its something to do with the radio

itself, as they are both the same type.

any guidance that will save me turning purple whilst upside down contorted under dashboards with a lack of enthusiasm would be most welcome!

cheers, bob.
