I had the first scheduled service done on my Aurion ZR6 last month (at 9 months since purchased but only about 6500km on the odo. not the expected 15000km). Yesterday I received a reminder from Toyota Australia, not the dealer I bought it from, saying that I had missed the service. I rang them to rectify the situation. They checked their records against the VIN number of my car which confirmed the service was done. Apparently a computer glitch at Toyota Australia was at fault. The point is, what would happen further down the track if I had a warranty issue in another state (I am in the NT) or i wanted to trade or sell the car. Could a lack of service history on Toyata's database compromise things?

Has anyone else received one of these reminders recently?

Anyway, the best insurance for any new car is to follow the service schedule, don't be late for services and get the service done based on time intervals if only doing low k's.
