what i normally do is get the part number from AutoOne, then if they dont have it in stock go to repco/supercheap and magically find the same part..

anyways check the below link to some partnumbers for enginemounts for 4A ae82's

I use to run E10 in my AE86, it ran pretty sweet with more advance timing (the 4AGE had a 10.3 CR).

however with in 3months the fuel filter and rubber fuel hose started to leak/split, might have just been luck?

some people say the plastic in the older carbs maybe not last

thanks for all the replies

I will give Ethanol 10 a miss

carbys are bad eneough when working ok

got the engine mounts from repco

they even gave me 10% off the whole bill

rear mount repco part number MT8359

front mount is a kelpro part number MT8248

timing belt was $20

very easy to replace the timing belt with

the motor out

the project continues

another question

The rear drums hub seem frozen on

wont come of with a hammer hit

are you supposed to back of the adjuster ?

Posted

the drums should just come off, handbrake still on?

normally i remove the drums to adjust it.

if u want an upgrade, the AE82 Twincam have front vented disks and rear soild disks

Found pics of my old 1988 AE82 Series 2 Twincam hatchback.

had a AE92 4AGZE with 5spd LSD E58 gearbox.

Nevo Pully running 14psi, 2.25" cat back exhaust (not too loud), VR4 FMIC & home made CAI w/ k&n panel filter.

Superlow springs, kyb shocks & rear whiteline swaybar.

Best $2500 ever spent.

thanks for the upgrade information

very intresting

anyway all done the car is back togeather

off for a roadworthy next

Posted (edited)

well it passed roadworthy

and rego checks

drives pretty good for an old car

rear solid discs

what parts do you ask to do the conversion to rear discs

do you have to change the swing arm or master cyl

or can you fit the rotor to the

existing stub axle
