Three year owner of a Presara - love it - recently went through a major collision with a cow in the dark.

Preara extensively damaged but the 4 people in side were not.

$28k repair job and 3 & 1/2 months to repair.

Thats a beautiful car the Presara and sorry to hear about the accident. Damn that must have been a very hard impact. The car proved its strength and safety as the passengers came out not hurt which is a good thing. The 3 & 1/2 month wait is going to be painful but atleast you are getting the car back to the way it was.

If it's going to cost $28k to fix it go buy a 2nd presara. It's cheaper.

Not my choice - The insurance company made the call - a replacement at that time with similar k's etc was around $36k

But the car is back now and overall I'm very pleased with it.

Additional gear on it like Towbar, Heavy anderson plug electrics etc would have been a pain for me.

Overall the experience of being stopped on the Bruce highway with 4 people in the car and being able to do the Toyota Link thingy was a really good thing and the emergency response folks Police, Ambulance, Firies, and Tow trucks was fantastic.

Car did it's job, I was ably to safely stop in the dark on an embanked road, minimal hurt to occupants.
