1993 Corolla car radio removal

hi there

I have a 1993 Toyota Corolla with a factory fitted Fujitsu ten radio. I am trying to remove it and fit a new CD but am having so much trouble as I can't even get the dam thing out!

I have scoured the site and there is nothing for this model/year that I can find.

Please can you help anyone?

I have a feeling that the face is the same as my 98 rolla

If it is.. you should have 2 screws that face downwards on an angle... above the storage area where you can put stuff.

It too also had the standard Fujitsu tape deck. Once you unscrew those 2 pull it forward and then you just disconnect the hazard light switch and the one below... also the tabs for the aircon/temp handle tabs...

post up a pic of your console and Ill prob be able to point where the screws are located

yea, what you need to do is remove the whole instrament/gauge cluster surround (the black thing)

a few screws holding it in, but easy enough to remove.

then there should be 4x screw holding the radio in

when i did my radio in my old AE95, i went to pick a part, practiced on the ae92 (same dash) and cracked about 2 clusters lol... but mine came out nicely when i got the hang of it.
