Hey Guys,

New to the forum,

I have a 1989 SV21 Toyota Camry Ultimo 2.0L.

I have a problem with the switches for the power windows.

When we bought the car the passenger side front window didn't go up or down.

Every now and then the whole entire switchboard on the drivers side doesnt function at all.

At first we thought that it was just the switch on the passenger side but that didnt help.

All the windows motors + regulators work fine.

I decided to connect a ground wire to the passenger side switch.

This made the window work.

I attached the drivers side switch to the passenger side switch diirectly and it worked on both sides fine.

I believe that there is a break in the wire or a loose connection etc between the two doors.

Does anyone else have any input on the whole drivers side switch panel not working??

Or am i completely on the wrong track??

Any ideas on how to check where the wire may be loose or broken??

Everything will be appreciated,

Domenic
