TRD Suspension Pack

Recommended Posts

The TRD spring/shock combo is stiffer than King springs/stock shocks. The TRD shock absorbers are KYB as compared to stock shocks. The TRD springs seem to settle down more on an even level than kings though, you dont get that 'dipped' stance.

Be prepared to fork out a fair bit for it though.. TRD parts dont come cheap, something along the lines of 2K

Stock ZRE152 shocks are made by KYB afaik.

sorry to hijack this thread but i was wondering if us version of the trd springs be different with the aus version? i've been checking out this website www.magauto.com and found the trd springs which seem to be cheaper compared to the higher price that of the aus version for the $169.15 USD and shipping is $50 USD on top i think. http://toyota.magauto.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=MorePartInfo&PartID=882110&siteid=213710&catalogid=200

there's also the strut brace as well http://toyota.magauto.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=MorePartInfo&PartID=766289&siteid=213710&catalogid=200

couldn't really find the exact part for shocks but going by the description on the other 2 parts it looks like they may fit our current zre152 models.

can anyone shed some light on this and confirm? would be great if all works out

That first link you gave us, it is for the American Corolla (Altis); which do not have a torsion beam at the rear, hence, will not fit ours. :(

Hey guys was wondering if any one had any more info on the TRD Suspension Pack? Would it be stiffer than say kings on stock shocks? http://www.toyota.com.au/corolla/accessories/trd

in before "coil overs"

Will, the best person is to ask Vinh. He will tell you all about them. :)

As in for my two cents, TRD Suspension is definitely better than Kings/stock shocks combo. It is definitely stiffer. Compared to coilovers, I would say it's roughly stiff as coilovers with dampeners on a setting a third (1/3) to a half (1/2) of maximum, obviously depending on the coilovers.
