Hi there

just wondered if anyone knows what the bolts on the chassis rail do i have an 06 atx Aurion and hit an traffic island bent one of the forementioned bolts they are located in the middle of the back door on the chassis rail.

I don't have an AT-X, just wondering if you can take a photo so we can be sure?

I know the side skirt is held on by multiple plastic clips, which are next to the chassis rail, but this doesn't sound like what you're asking about:

If you are talking about the two 8 or 10mm bolts sticking out of the chassis rail, I would say don't worry about them. They look like they are for some extra that wasn't fitted to our cars. Anyone know what they are used for?

I haven't had a chance to look at it to see their placement so I'm only taking a stab in the dark here, but could it possible have anything to do with transportation of the car, like a tie down point or something?

yeah thats them but what are they for ?

Sorry for the late reply. I was down on my side cleaning my side skirts before getting to the underbody and say these two and though "Oh s***. That's right". So I took out the camera. Is this what you were referring to:

I take it the AT-X does not have that brace on it?

My Atx doesn't have them, what were they fitted too?

I managed to fish this photo out taken of my old pre-facelift Sportivo SX6. You can make out the same bar if you look closely. It seems it must have been something fitted to the Sportivo's and TRD's:

      2012 Toyota Landcruiser Lacks power

      Hey guys we have recently purchased a 2012 200 series (cut down dual cab - extended) 240km on the clock It lacks power when accelerating and the gear changes are delayed when you put the foot down. blows very little soot when accelerating Nil lights on the dash. Injectors seem to be reading ok. Only fault code that popped up was C1201 Any input is much appreciated.

      go to an jdm engine importer and buy a complete engine, much easier. You could even fit a 2zz ge into it

      Upgrade from 2012 to 2023

      I have recently bought a 2012 Prado and was wondering if i could buy a 2023 strat write off prado and upgrade both interior and exterior so all the functions from the 2023 works regardless of the newer features and buttons.       Towbars

      I went to my local Toyota Dealer for a nudge bar and tow bar for my 2017 AWD RAV4 and was told by their part's department was told "parts no longer made." Looking at aftermarket (ECB, Haymen Reese and ARB) but hesitant because sellers can't give 100% guarantee that parts will fit GLX facelift model.

      I have the same issue with my 22 new Hybird Kluger. I also found my (grande) new Kluger has missed 220V power point and camera view on central mirror comparing with same car in US. This clearly are the short cuts to Australia Toyota customers which is unacceptable.

      ASV50 Camry Head Unit Options

      I have a 2014 Atara SL with the JBL Navigation head unit, it's getting a bit long in the tooth and I'd like to add Android Auto so I'm curious about what other owners have done. I don't want to lose the reverse camera and the dynamic guidelines, there are also some other car functions as part of it that would be good to keep. I have seen plug in modules that wire in that add the functionality to the existing unit so it's possible to keep it and switch between stock and android but I haven't seen a specific one for this model JBL unit. Has anyone had success with a later model Toyota unit bolting in?

      1zz-fe engine rebuild

      Hello all, Working on my 2002 corolla. It needs a engine rebuild due to burning oil out the back. It has over 400,000 km on it and I havent looked after it. Everything is still original on the motor. The only thing that I have replaced, was the brushes on the alternator. They were completely worn out. I am pulling the motor/gearbox out of the car. Wont know the condition of the block or head until I strip it down. I know the design of the piston where changed in the 2003+ models for more oil holes, which stopped the buring of oil. 1. Was there any other changes made ? 2. Does anyone know of where I can get a engine rebuild kit for 1zz-fe motor in australia ? 3. I have only found one place that I can get a new short motor built but that is in the USA and they do ship to australia but was hoping to find something in australia Thanks for help. Dragon
