I have a 2001 Prado Grande, 3.4 petrol automatic Full time 4wd.

I wish to install a switch to disengage the centre diff lock when the vehicle is placed in low range to assist with backing up our steep driveway and pulling up very steep hills when towing our caravan.

I have initiated and read many threads about this matter on several forums, but am not yet sure I have the best solution.

I read somewhere recently about a thread about a seemingly identical situatiion which if my memory serves me correctly was supposed to be about a Hilux and on a Hilux forum, although I was unable to get the full details at the time.

I would appreciate being given the web directions to any information about threads on this particular matter. I have already done a search on this forum, but nothing of great interest came up, which is not uncommon for searches on forums.
