Hi,

I a doctor who wants to travel up and down the country of New Zealand for a year. I plan to sell the car after a year. After research, I am dead set on the reliability of Toyota.

Budget is less than $5000 NSD, obviously will buying a second hand pre-99 car.

Does anyone have any experience of whether its better to get a RAV4 or Corolla or any other Toyota car?

Factors:

- 150 000 miles (as other people as bought cars with higher mileage and not so reliable).

- fuel (massive factor as petrol so expensive here)

- safety

- cross travel around country >?maybe going around with mates but mostly 1-2 people travelling

Fuel is probably the most important aspect along with legroom and space to put stuff at the back.

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to buying my first Toyota car ever!
