Hi everyone, a quick simple question. I have just brought a new Landcruiser 200 and have noticed there is no battery terminal cap for the negative terminal. This seems strange. I am hoping someone can confirm whether or not there should be a cap/cover for the negative terminal. Many thanks!!!

Most cars will not have a Neg terminal as you do not need it to be covered for protection. Pos term on the other hand you do need a cover.

Thanks Buff, however I am not asking about 'most' cars. I am specifically asking whether the landcruisers come with a negative terminal cover. Thought I would ask the question here before I call the dealership.

My LC200 doesn't have one. It really isn't needed, as it is the same potential as the body of the car, so can't short with anything (except the positive terminal).
