I have been trying to paint my 97 camry with multicolor paint so the color changes with light intensity/angle/direction. I have seen few cars with this paint so am wondering how the paint is being mixed and also if it is the paint that does the magic or the spraying part that matters....any help would be appreciated.

its called harlequin or chameleon paint, and its extremely expensive (~$400/lt)

The paint is what changes color, however there is special technique to spray it too, it's not something you can do in a backyard.

When you take labor, prep, etc in to account you could easily be looking at $7,000-$10,000 for a good job.
