Once your at this stage your ready to swap the tweeters over. Unplug the wiring for the existing item and using your socket set remove the two bolts holding the Tweeter Bracket in place and remove from car.

First things first remove the tweeter off the bracket via the single phillips head screw on the rear.

Replace the old Tweeter with your new item using the same single screw facility ( The Type G Alpine units I purchased were very similar ) If this is not the case you may have to use double sided tape etc to secure the speaker.

Let the wiring hang for the time being we will deal with that in a couple of steps.

Now it's time to remove the stock 6" Speaker from it's pod via the Phillips screws, make sure you unplug the speaker prior to removing it to avoid a hanging mess.

The plug for the 6" Speaker will be the "Input" for your cross over so strip the wires and plug it up. At this point it's best to place your crossover into the door through the speaker hole but leave it nice and accessible until the speakers are both plugged in.

Now that wire for the Tweeter can be placed down through the door following the factory electric window loom follow it back down to the bottom of the door and tape it to the exisitng loom so it's nice and Tidy , plugging it into the "Tweeter" part of the crossover.

Using the wiring that comes with the new speakers cut the appropriate length for the woofer ( about 20cm in my case ) and attatch it to the "Woofer" section of your crossover.

Now that your done with the crossover use cable ties and tie it off to the loom at the bottom of the door making sure it's tight and snug so it won't rattle around.

At this point plug the two spades into the new woofer and screw it into the factory speaker pod.

It's a good idea to test the unit out now and make sure it's working as it should.

Once the check is done place your door trim back on and repeat the process for the other side!
